By now you know that the largest organ in your body is your skin. The skin being a two-way system, it takes in nutrition and sends waste out. Yes, it takes in nutrition; light from the sun absorbed as vitamin D being absolutely essential (but that is another blog) and it doesn’t stop there. This is about the products you put on your skin. My primary suggestion for overall skin care is virgin coconut oil (followed in close second by the recommendation of the Ayurvedic system based on your specific dosha, like neem or sesame oil). Virgin coconut oil is incredible for the skin in many ways but I have found one drawback…the face. Oils on the face can be very tricky and certainly not right for everyone. Also oils have a tendency of attracting and holding dirt contributing to the very problem that most people are seeking solutions for. Of course the very best skin care includes proper food intake, exercise and quality sleep but topical skin care cannot be ignored if you really want to look and feel your best.

Eternale Dermagetix was recently introduced to me by founder Nadine Cutwright and VP of Operations/Cosmetologist Donna Lipshin. Both women come from the field of quantum biofeedback and took on the challenge of safe and natural, health-giving, not toxicity-burdening facial products. Personally, and gratefully, I have enjoyed the benefits of these products on my own skin as I always intend to try, when appropriate, products before recommending them to others. Aside from the improvements in the look and feel of my skin, I appreciate that I am not absorbing toxic compounds, nor having to invest a lot of time and money to achieve it. As a side note: I chose to begin with their travel/trial kit and after three weeks of daily use, have still have more to enjoy; a great way to experience the products without having to spend much money.
